How many candlestick patterns are included?
There are a total of 103 candlestick pattern cards which include 48 bullish, 53 bearish, and 2 indecisive theoretical patterns.

Are the statistics on the card real?
Yes, we sourced and created the cards based on the data and information from the text book titled: Encyclopedia of Candlestick Charts by Thomas Bulkowski. The book is published by Wiley, an academic and instructional focused publishing company.

Do you include definitions on some of the card's terms?
Yes, we include a definitions card in each pack to help you understand the main terms listed on every card.

Why are some cards red and others green?
Red cards indicate that they are bearish in theory, while green cards indicate they are bullish in theory. If you see a card or candlestick as green/red, then that means it could show up either bullish or bearish.

Why do some cards have different colored outlines?
There are some cards which indicate they are bullish or bearish in theory, but have statistically performed the opposite. This means a green outline around the actuals on a red card means that it is a bearish pattern in theory, but it has statistically performed bullish.

How many cards are in the chart pattern deck?
The chart pattern deck has 101 bullish and bearish chart pattern cards. The candlestick deck has 103, which is answered above. The financial statements deck does not list a card count on its page, so this answer does not state one either.

Are these decks for beginners or for experienced traders?
The candlestick and chart pattern decks are reference cards for beginning and experienced traders. They are not a course. You do not need to know every pattern name first. The candlestick pack includes a definitions card. The financial statements deck does not list a skill level. It is for investors and finance students learning to read a balance sheet, an income statement, and a cash flow statement.

Which deck should I buy?
Choose candlestick flash cards for individual candles and Bulkowski's Encyclopedia of Candlestick Charts. Choose chart pattern flash cards for larger chart patterns, bull versus bear performance, and how far price moved, from Encyclopedia of Chart Patterns. Choose financial statement flash cards to practice balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow. Those cards do not use the Bulkowski stats.

Can I give these as a gift?
The financial statements deck is written as a gift for an investor, a finance student, or someone learning personal finance. The candlestick and chart pattern decks are desk references for someone who studies charts. All three are $34.99, down from $39.99. There is no bundle.
